Marian Saunders
I specialise in multi-sensory audio-visual performances which explore the dynamic movement, patterns, forms, and flow that manifest in human, sonic, cosmic, and natural forces. Merging handcrafted analogue imagery with cutting-edge digital real-time technologies, my improvised visuals react to sound, space, and audience, creating an ever-evolving collage of colour, shape and light. The edges of my creativity are constantly evolving as new projects, technologies and the sharing of ideas through interdisciplinary, collaborative work inspire innovation in my developing practice.
I graduated from Norwich University of The Arts with an MA (distinction) in Moving Image & Sound. My curiosity and passion for real-time visual performance led to my part time PhD research which focuses on how moving image, technology and performance coalesce to form immersive, multi-sensory shared experiences.
